Jordan Bryden
Jordan Bryden is a professional triathlete from Calgary, Canada. Jordan was first introduced to the sport of triathlon at the age of 9. He grew up in a very active family that regularly took trips to hike in the mountains, water ski in the summers, and rock climb. When his dad was looking to buy a treadmill, they wandered into the Calgary Cyclepath bike store. The store owner explained what a triathlon was, and helped get him set up for his first Kids of Steel race 2 months later.
By the time Jordan was 12 he was inspired by Canadian namesake- Simon Whitfield. At just 24 years old Simon became the first ever Olympic Champion in the sport of triathlon at the Sydney Olympic Games. The inspiration took hold and Jordan began to dedicate himself to the pursuit of performances. Since then- Jordan has won Numerous National titles, a Jr World Xterra Title, and has landed on the podium at Olympic Distance and Long Distance triathlon events around the globe.
In 2016 Jordan worked alongside Olympic Champion Nicola Spirig as a training partner before the Rio Olympic Games. In 2017 he was a member of the Canadian Long Course triathlon team and races at ITU Long Course World Championships. He Also won his first Ultra distance triathlon at the Canadian Ultraman Distance event in Penticton. In 2018 he took some time to rest and refocus before returning to the triathlon scene in the late season.
in 2019 Jordan became a member of the Boulder, CO based JDC Pro team coached by Julie Dibens. He had a successful return to elite racing after winning his first ½ Ironman after nearly 18 months. He went on to win Ultraman Canada with a record breaking swim and day 1 Record, placed 3rd at the Canadaman Xtri Race, Finished Ironman Barcelo in just over 8:30 and then went on to win the 2019 Ultraman World Championships in Kona amoung other podium results.
